Washington, DC - The U.S. economy added 313,000 jobs in February.
That smashed expectations of analysts who were expecting jobs growth of 200,000. The national jobless rate held steady at four-point-one percent.
Average hourly earnings grew less than expected, up only 0.19% for the month. However, even that is welcome news, as it tamps down fears of inflation.
