Pompey, N.Y. - The Onondaga County SWAT Team was called in to help end a four hour standoff in Pompey last night.
Onondaga Sheriff's Deputies and State Police were called out to a wooded area on County Road 114, around 2:15 p.m. Monday, for a man with a gun. Deputies say that he was carrying a handgun and refused to put it down.
Deputies say that negotiators spoke with the man for four hours before members of the SWAT team were able to take swift action and disarm the man. Nobody was hurt.
