Monday morning Syracuse Police were called to the Syracuse Academy of Science School on Park Avenue regarding a suspicious incident.
Upon arrival staff informed the officers that a student had posted a threatening video online that had children and parents concerned. The video showed 16 year old Jacob Vazquez shooting a BB gun boasting that he has the "skills of a school shooter". There was no specific school mentioned.
As a result of a police investigation Vazquez was arrested and charged with making a terroristic threat.
He was taken to the Onondaga County Justice Center. The BB gun was recovered.
