This morning Syracuse Police responded to a call from a male who said someone pointed what he thought was a black gun at him. The victim said he knew where the suspect lived.
Police went to the home of the suspect in the 100 block of Burnet Ave. When officers arrived they were met by a very uncooperative Adam Mika, 28.
He refused to speak with them at first but then officers made contact with him. In order to take the suspect into custody safely police were forced to discharge a taser.
The suspect was taken to a local hospital as a precaution. He did not suffer serious injuries, police said.
No handgun was found in Mika's home, but a 10-inch long black metal bar was. Police investigators believe the metal bar was the item used to menace the victim.Mike faces charges of Menacing and Criminal Possession of a Weapon.
He was sent to the Onondaga County Justice Center.
