3 Killed In Morning Crash - Man Charged

Fairmount, N.Y. - State Police say that three people are dead after a crash this morning in Fairmount.

A Camillus man is facing charges  following a crash that killed three people on Onondaga Boulevard near the intersection with Onondaga Road, around 3:30 this morning.

Police have identified the three victims as Michael Walker, 18, Samra Osmanovic, 20 and Baylie Rose, 19. Walker and Osmanovic were current students at OCC and Rose was a former student.

State Police have arrested 30 year old, Anthony Saccone, and charged him with leaving the scene of a deadly crash and driving while intoxicated. State Police say witnesses saw Saccone leaving the scene and a K9 unit, tracked him to his house.

Troopers believe Saccone ran a red light, striking the driver’s side of the victims’ vehicle, flipping it over, at which point both vehicles caught fire.

OCC will have grief counselors available on campus for students today.
