DeFrancisco Becomes Frontrunner To Challenge Gov. Cuomo

Buffalo, N.Y. - The momentum in who will challenge Governor Andrew Cuomo in November is shifting towards Syracuse.

The Front runner for the Republican Party's nomination for Governor, Finger Lakes Assemblyman Brian Kolb, pulled out of the race. In the aftermath of the departure, Central New York State Senator John DeFrancisco has picked up political momentum. 

Meantime, the remaining Republicans in the race which include former Democratic Erie County Executive Joel Giambra, and relative unknown Joe Holland met for a debate Saturday in Buffalo.
