The Madison County Sheriff's Office has identified a couple found dead after an apparent murder-suicide in Bridgeport earlier this week.
Police say 47-year-old Amy Sliwowski, and 43-year-old Adam Atkinson, were found dead inside a home on Bridgeport Kirkville Road, Monday night.
Investigators say Atkinson shot and killed Sliwowski before taking his own life. Atkinson had called a family member earlier in the day who apparently went to the home to help, but left and called police after hearing gunshots.
