Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse police are asking for help identifying two men they believe robbed three college students at gunpoint within about an hour.
Police say last night the masked men robbed two SU students and a SUNY ESF student in separate incidents. SU is asking everyone to stay away from the areas where the armed robberies occurred which includes Ostrom and Roosevelt Avenues, as well as Buckingham Avenue and Meadowbrook Drive. There were no injuries.
They're both described as black men between the ages of 20 and 30. One's said to be about six-foot-three-inches tall and heavyset, the other about five-feet-ten-inches tall and medium built. Police say the victims reported the men leaving the area in a light colored SUV.
TIMELINE OF THE EVENTS:
- 7:20 p.m., two masked men approached an SU student on Ostrom Avenue near Comstock Place.
- At 8:18 p.m., Syracuse police say they were called Roosevelt Avenue, near Jerome St., where two men tried to rob a SUNY ESF student.
- 8:25 p.m., another SU student was robbed of their iPhone on Buckingham Avenue near Meadowbrook Drive.
