A Madison county substitute teacher, Samantha M Murphy, has been accused of having sexually explicit and graphic conversations with high school students during a broadcast media class she was teaching. DeRuyter High School officials contacted State Police after being notified by students of the incident. New York State Police have charged Murphy with five counts of endangering the welfare of a child. She was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in DeRuyter Town Court Feb. 5. The school is fully cooperating with the investigation.
