Woman Sentenced For Gruesome Murder Coverup

Syracuse, N.Y. - A Phoenix woman is going to prison for her role in the death of a Cicero man. Connie Ingoldby was sentenced to one to three years in prison for hindering prosecution.  She admitted to helping Corey Slattery clean up a gruesome murder scene in 2016.

Slattery pleaded guilty to murdering Aikeem Hudgins and is facing 20-years to life when he's sentenced later this month.  Prosecutors said that Slattery lured Hudgins to his apartment in Cicero, where he strangled and stabbed him. He later dismembered Hudgins with a chainsaw and attempted to bury his body; and when that didn't work, Slattery tried burning the body.
