GOP Candidate Wants Pot To Pay For MTA

Buffalo, N.Y. - Former Erie County Executive and possible GOP candidate for governor Joel Giambra says he wants legal pot and its revenue for the state.

Giambra says that taxes from marijuana could help New York in the face of financial difficulty.  Giambra said he feels this is a more appropriate action than raising taxes.  He specifically says that he would use the revenue to pay for the crumbling subway system in New York City.

Folks of the tiny but mighty Conservative Party have already said that Giambra, who used to be a Democrat, is a non-starter for them.
