A young man from Otsego County is accused of the murders of both his parents.
Sheriff's authorities say that the daughter of the parents, Timothy Perry and Solveige Perry, called for help around 9 pm December 12 when she found them dead in their town of Laurens home. Police statewide were alerted to a missing vehicle from the home, and Schoharie County sheriff's deputies spotted the vehicle on Interstate 88 and tried to pull it over. The driver, later identified as Kevin Perry, refused to stop, but he was eventually taken into custody after crashing the vehicle. Perry is charged with first-degree murder and criminal use of a firearm. A judge ordered him held without bail.
