Police Look For Man Who Stole Ring From Eastwood Jeweler


Syracuse police are hoping the public will recognize the person who stole a ring from an Eastwood jeweler on Monday.

Police were sent to Mars Jewelry where they learned that a male who came in and asked to look at rings fled the store with one that he was shown.  The store owner described the ring as 14 carat white gold with assorted diamonds, valued at 18 hundred dollars.  Surveillance cameras were able to photograph the suspect.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 20's, 5'8" tall, with a thin goatee.  He was wearing an orange hooded sweatshirt with an "S" on the front, a black knit winter hat and blue jeans.   Anyone with information should contact Syracuse police at 315-442-5222.  Anonymous tips may be also be submitted using the "SPD Tips" smartphone app.
