Syracuse Police Arrest Suspect In Two Robberies

A man Syracuse police believe was responsible for two robberies in two days was arrested shortly after the second holdup.

Officers sent to a 7-11 on North Salina Thursday night learned a male demanded money from the clerk, claiming he had a gun though none was displayed.  The suspect fled with a small amount of cash.  Friday night, officers responded to a Speedway station on Erie Boulevard East and heard the same story about a male demanding cash, claiming he had a gun, and fleeing with some cash.  Police viewed store video and concluded the same person committed both crimes, and identified the suspect.  Theodore Simon was arrested and charged with two counts of robbery and is in the Justice Center.
