A Syracuse teen goes to prison for 16 years after trying to shoot a sheriff's department detective in January.
Sheriff's investigators say that 16-year-old Isaiah Outley fired a gun at an undercover detective. Outley and a 15-year-old co-defendant were looking for someone to rob at the Springfield Garden Apartments near LeMoyne when they shot at the unmarked car. That deputy was not hurt in the incident. Outley was sentenced to 16 years in prison along with 5 years of post-release supervision.
