Onondaga County Sheriff's Detectives Make Bust, Seize Drugs, Guns

Onondaga County sheriff's detectives arrest a Syracuse man after finding drugs and stolen handguns in the suspect's home.

The department's Special Investigations Unit executed a search warrant Wednesday at 315 Spring Street in Syracuse after a long investigation into stolen property and drug activity.  The search resulted in finding heroin and marijuana, along with ballistic vests and three loaded handguns.  Detectives charged occupant Nissan Ratchford with several counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon, as well as criminal possession of stolen property. Ratchford is being held on $200 thousand dollars bail.
