Fort Drum Soldier Indicted For Killing Wife, State Trooper

A Fort Drum soldier who's accused of killing his wife and a New York State trooper has been indicted by a grand jury.

Justin Walters faces 55 counts of murder, attempted murder, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon.  Walters is accused of shooting his wife Nichole several times in the head and body.  Police say Walters also shot and killed Trooper Joel Davis as he was responding to a report of shots fired at Walters' Jefferson County home in early July.  A second woman was also shot inside the home, but her injuries were not serious.  Walters appeared in a town of LeRoy court Tuesday to hear the indictment.  He is being held without bail.
