Thousands in CNY Lose Power From Sunday Storm

Some 13,000 National Grid customers in Central New York lost power when a strong line of storms Sunday evening knocked down power lines and trees.

National Grid reported outages in Onondaga, Oswego, Oneida, and Madison counties as the wind and rain moved southeast.  The town of Clay was hardest hit, with 3,190 customers losing electricity.  National Grid estmated they would have power restored to most Central New York areas by 9pm.  As of now, less than 2 thousand are without power, with most areas expected to be back online by 8am today.
