Bed Bugs Spread To Other CNY Schools

The problems Syracuse city schools have been experiencing with bed bugs have now come to other schools in Central New York.

Baldwinsville school district officials say after one bug was found at Ray Middle School, after which each room received a thorough cleaning and disinfecting. The district says they're confident the bug was carried in.  Parents are being asked to store kids' clothes in plastic bags or put them in a dryer for 40 minutes.

In Canastota, school district officials report that two bed bugs were found on students last week, but that situation was handled and no new cases have been reported.  Staff thoroughly cleaned the building and a pest control company inspected the school.
