Oswego County Couple Accused Of Injuring, Starving Pit Bulls

State police arrest two people on animal cruelty charges by injuring and starving two dogs in their care.

Robert Williams and Candice Carey of Marietta are accused of both injuring and failing to care for a pair of pitbulls.  Troopers responded to a call August 30 about a pair of dogs tied to a shed in the town of Schroeppel.  They found a male pitbull inside the shed, tied by a rope to a pole, that was deceased. A female pitbull who was also tied to a pole was alive but was severely malnourished. Troopers contacted animal control for the town, who removed both dogs.  On September 27, troopers arrested Williams and Carey.  They will appear in town court in October.
