Search Continues For Fisherman Who Went Down With Boat on Lake Ontario

The search for a Pennsyvlania fisherman lost Saturday in Lake Ontario will continue today.

Oswego County sheriff's deputies say they were notified that Mark Deiter and two passengers were fishing on a 23 foot boat near Scriba when the boat began to take on water at about 5:30 Saturday.  The two passengers jumped from the boat, but Deiter remained on board when the boat sank.   A search for survivors found the two passengers at about 7pm, while the hunt for Deiter was expanded to include assistance from the Coast Guard and other local first responders.  After suspending the search after midnight, it resumed Sunday until 5pm without success.  Searchers will begin again Monday morning to look for Deiter.
