F'Ville Man Convicted On Dating Site Scam Busted Again

A Fayetteville man who did prison time for scamming a number of women in Central New York via online dating sites has been arrested for doing it again.

State police in Schenectady County accuse Donald VanValkenberg of obtaining a New York driver's license using fake documents, then using the license to create more false documents.  Troopers say VanValkenberg then used his fake name to create profiles on dating sites. VanValkenberg was convicted for doing the same thing in Central New York a few years ago.  He's been charged with felony possession of a forged instrument and is being held on 10 thousand dollars bail.
