Syracuse, N.Y. – Scott Shafer returns to Syracuse tomorrow afternoon.
Shafer is now the defensive coordinator for Middle Tennessee State, after taking last year off in the wake of being fired as head coach at SU.
In 3 years as head man of the Orange, Shafer went 14-23, though he went 7-6 and won the Texas Bowl in year one.
Middle Tennessee enters tomorrow’s game 0-1 after a blowout loss to Vanderbilt, while Syracuse is 1-0 following a blowout win over Central Connecticut State.
