Syracuse Police have now made an arrest after an 8 year old boy died of a gunshot wound in his own home.
44 year old Jermaine Moore, the child's father, has been charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Possession of Stolen Property and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
City police say the gun involved was stolen. Eight year old Shaleek Carrears was killed on August 21st inside his Hartson Street home after he was accidentally shot by his ten year old brother.
