Catering by the Oaks Returns as First-Ever Kosher Food Booth at New York State Fair

The Oaks at Menorah Park's kosher fine-dining offshoot, Catering by the Oaks, once again will be selling kosher fare, "fair style", Sundays through Fridays at the 2017 Great New York State Fair.

In 2016, Catering by the Oaks became the first and only kosher food booth at the Fair, and remains so. Catering by the Oaks will be located in the Horticulture building.

The menu will include a mix of traditional kosher dishes such as potato knishes, bagel and lox sandwiches, gluten-free citrus salmon lettuce wraps and chopped salads, as well as dishes given a Fair twist, like deep fried apple blintzes coated with cinnamon and brown sugar, deep fried cheese blintzes served with sour cream and fried matzo balls.

"We had a taste panel with people who ate strictly kosher food and people who did not; both groups absolutely loved all the food. We are ecstatic to bring our one-of-a-kind menu back to the Fair for both kosher and non-kosher eaters to enjoy," said Jarrod Charsky, Catering by the Oaks general manager.

The Catering by the Oaks Fair menu can be found at www.menorahparkofcny.com.
