Retrial For Sheldon Silver Inches Forward

Former New York Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver Sentenced For Political Corruption

Albany, N.Y. - A likely retrial date has been set for disgraced former State Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver following the overturning of his corruption conviction.

A federal judge says that Silver is likely to be retried and that jury selection will begin April 16th.  Silver wants his case to go before the U.S. Supreme Court.  However, because of his charges being overturned last month, the case was remanded to a lower court for retrial.
