New information is emerging today after the murder of an 11 year old Chenango County girl. Court documents say that 36 year old James Brower of Norwich was trying to rape 11 year old Jacelyn O'Connor when he killed her.
It appears the young victim was smothered and that's why she went into cardiac arrest and died. The attack occurred Sunday morning at the girls home on County Route 33 and prosecutors say Brower had a family connection to the child. Brower has been charged with First Degree Murder.
