A Syracuse woman who broke her young son's arm has avoided any jail time today. Catalina Balitz was sentenced today after she broke her four year old son's arm and caused a head injury.
It happened when she literally tossed her son into a car seat last year. She could have gotten two years in prison, but today a judge decided to sentence her to simple probation. It was also revealed in court that she has taken classes to become a better parent.
