Syracuse Police ID Victim After Police Car Strikes Bike Rider

There's new information today after a Syracuse Police cruiser struck a man riding his bike on Monday.

City Police have now identified the victim as 44 year old Frederick Farwell of Syracuse. He's been left in critical condition after he was hit by the police car at the intersection of Tallman and Rich Streets. The officer behind the wheel of the patrol car is 27 years old and is a five year veteran of the city police department.

 He is currently out of work due to injuries he sustained in the crash. The second officer in the car has returned to work, but both officers names are not being released..
