There's a new man at the helm of Troop D for the State Police.Major Philip Rougeux has been named Troop D Commander which covers most of Central New York and parts of the North Country.
Rougeux began his career with the State Police in 1986 when he entered the academy. In 1992, he was promoted to Sergeant and spent a year on Long Island.
In September of 2013, Rougeux was appointed to the rank of Captain and was assigned to Troop E headquarters in Canandaigua. Rougeux is married and has two grown children.
