UPDATE: New York State Police are rescheduling the press conference for 1:45 p.m.
Watertown, N.Y. - State Police Officials say they will be holding a press conference regarding the line of duty death of Trooper Joel Davis.
State Police Investigators say that Davis was shot once and killed by active duty Army infantryman Justin Walters responding to a domestic disturbance call at Walters' home in the Jefferson County Village of Theresa. Walters is facing first and second degree murder charges for the murder of Davis and his wife Nichole.
The briefing will be held at the State Police barracks in Watertown at 1 p.m.
Trooper Davis is survived by his wife and three children.
