Oswego Man Accused of Beating Raping Kidnapped Woman

Owego, N.Y. – An Oswego Man has been accused of holding a woman as a sex slave in his home for days.

Oswego City Police Officers say Bruce Williams held the woman he knew against her will beginning the afternoon of July 1 until Independence Day morning. Officers say that he beat and repeatedly rapped the woman with some of those beatings happening in front of several children.

The battered woman eventually escaped her hellacious captivity by escaping through a window around 7:00 a.m. on the Fourth of July. She was able to get to a nearby business and call police.

Williams has been charged with felony Kidnapping, Rape, and Criminal Sex Act and other misdemeanors including assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

He is now being held in the Oswego County Jail on $10,000 bail.
