Police name 30 Y/O Shot in the Head on Syracuse's Eastside

Syracuse, N.Y. – Syracuse Police are naming a 30-year-old shot in the head early Wednesday Morning.

Officers say William Noel was shot once in the head while another 32-year-old was hit multiple times in the back. The 32-year-old was taken to the hospital but officers say the man's injuries are not life threatening. 

Syracuse Police Spokesman Sgt. Rick Helterline says the shooting on East Fayette St. near Westmoreland Ave happened while a group of people may have been celebrating Independence Day. Sgt. Helterline adds that investigators don't yet know if either of the men shot were the intended victims.
