Syracuse Police say two people have been arrested after a hot pursuit in the city this morning. An officer tried to pull over a car for a traffic violation and the driver sped away and fled from police.
The vehicle pursuit rambled through city streets and ended at Ostrom Avenue and Madison Street. The driver of the vehicle then fled on foot.City police set up a perimeter around the scene and used their K'9's to search the area and 47 year old Robert Stryker of Weedsport was found hiding behind a home on Ostrom Avenue.
Police later determined that Stryker was driving a car that had been stolen in Cayuga County. A passenger in his car, 52 year old Keon Stith was charged in the case too. Stryker is being held in the Justice Center.
