Starving Cats Found In Clay Being Nursed Back To Health

The Humane Society of Central new York is now trying to nurse a dozen cats back to health after they were found living in horrific conditions at a home in Clay.  The cats are suffering from lung issues, they were malnourished and had and bad teeth.

Director Christine McNeeley says other cats were found dead in the home. When police entered the home of 64 year old Jane Richards, they found the floors covered in garbage and cat feces and and overwhelming smell of urine. Two other cats were found dead in the house, one of them floating in her flooded basement and another found mummified in the back yard. Richards now faces several counts of animal cruelty.
