Man Arrested after threatening to Shoot Troopers

Verona, N.Y. - State Police say that they have arrested Andrew Howard from Rome yesterday after he threatened to shoot officers at a 'Physical Domestic Incident' in Verona early Sunday morning.  

Investigators say that Howard told the officers on the scene that he had a gun and was willing to use it on them.  Following a brief standoff of about 20 minutes Howard set the gun down and was taken into custody without any further incident.

Howard has been arraigned on felony assault, reckless endangerment, and criminal possession of a weapon charges.
