State Police have arrested a Utica woman for smoking marijuana on Sylvan Beach.
Troopers say they were called to the beach area near Park Avenue after complaints of a woman smoking pot in public.
That's where they found 19 year old Shanell Sherman. They questioned her about the incident and she admitted to troopers that she had been smoking marijuana on the beach. She's been charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana, which is a misdemeanor.
