Syracuse Police releasing details of a stabbing on the city's Northside last week that involved some very young suspects.
City Police say they were called out to a disturbance call at Union Park on the night of the 16th. When they arrived, they found two young children, ages seven and eleven, involved in a violent fight and police say the 11 year old pulled out a knife and stabbed the younger child in the leg.
The seven year old victim suffered a laceration to the leg, but the injuries don't appear to be life threatening. City police says it appears the fight broke out over the use of a toy. The 11 year old has been charged with assault and his case will be handled in family court.
