The Rescue Mission's annual "Ride And Run For The Rescue" is set for Saturday, with a chance for anyone and everyone to join in and help them raise money to feed the needy.
The Rescue Mission says with school ending for the summer, they expect to feed even more hungry people over the summer - as many as 75,000. Officials say last year's event raised enough money to provide 63,000 meals to food-insecure people in Central New York.
The event at Onondaga Lake Park includes several levels of bike races, including a family category, with distances up to 62 miles. There's also a 5K run or walk. For more details about the Ride And Run For The Rescue and to register, visit the Rescue Mission website.
