Syracuse, N.Y. – Syracuse Police say they’ve arrested a couple in connection to a murder of Samuel Dixon this weekend.
Officers have arrested Vernon Brockington, 34; and have charged him with murder and criminal possession of a weapon. His girlfriend, Shantay Corley, 35; has been charged hindering prosecution.
Syracuse Police Chief Frank Fowler says that Dixon had been involved in a disagreement with Brockington the night before and that Brockington had returned and shot Dixon multiple times as he sat in his car on Murray Ave just after 9 a.m. Saturday.
