Hundreds of students at Cicero North Syracuse High School got a chance to see what happens when you get behind the wheel drunk.
A mock DWI crash with two vehicles was staged in the high school parking lot where 650 students saw the aftermath. They even had cries for help coming from the backseat of one of the cars as injured passengers waited for emergency crews to arrive.
The Air One helicopter could also be seen hovering overhead as students watched one of their classmates being airlifted to a hospital. Sheriffs Deputies say the raw and emotional message was real for the senior class as they watched in horror as several classmates shared a life lesson that law enforcement hopes will stay with them forever.
