Madison Co. Teen Rejects Plea Deal On Manslaughter Charge

An Madison County teenager has rejected a plea deal and now faces trial on a second degree murder charge. 18 year old Isaac Cantu rejected a deal offered by prosecutors for 17 years in prison if he pleaded guilty to a manslaughter charge.

 Cantu will now face second degree murder charges at trial and could face a much harsher sentence if he's convicted. Cantu and another teen are accused of stabbing Francis Boransky to death during a fight in the City of Oneida last fall. The other suspect, 17 year old Jordan Warner, pleaded guilty in April to an assault charge. he's expected to get four years when he's sentenced.
