Syracuse, N.Y. – A big meeting today between the County Executive and Town Supervisors and Mayors across the county.
County Executive Joanie Mahoney plans to sit down with all 19 Town Supervisors and 15 Village Mayors today to talk about shared services. She's asked each elected leader to come prepared with a list of services they already share as well as the top state mandates affecting their local budgets.
Governor Cuomo has ordered town, village and city governments across the state to come up with plans for shared services by the end of summer.
Mahoney says she's hoping to have an honest conversation.
