New CNY SPCA Director Fired?

Mattydale, N.Y. – The new director of the embattled Central New York SPCA says she thinks she's been fired.

Kerrin Conklin says she doesn't know why or even if she's actually been fired. She is telling reporters that tensions have been high at the CNY SPCA after she decided to euthanize 14 cats that had contracted ringworm during their recent renovations.

Conklin was hired this year to replace disgraced former director Paul Morgan, who was convicted of embezzling money from the organization. Conklin says that her husband, who is on the board at the CNY SPCA, told her the board voted to fire her.
