Syracuse, N.Y. - A spike in Syracuse overdoses is being attributed to synthetic marijuana, also known as spike or spice. 

Local hospitals on Wednesday treated nearly 20 people for sickness related to the drug.  Local hospitals tell Syracuse.com that they can go a week-or-more without seeing an overdose from synthetic pot

The dangerous brand of synthetic weed is "dopey" and can reportedly cause seizures, aggression, and memory and heart problems.
