Jazzfest To Increase Security At Their June Concert Series

The founder of Jazzfest says he's going to amp up security at this years event in the wake of the Manchester concert attack.

Frank Malfitano says he wants to be prepared but doesn't want to alarm concertgoers. Malfitano says he's now working with several local police agencies to talk about heightened security at the June event at Onondaga Community College.

Malfitano says they've now decided to ban coolers and backpacks on the concert grounds at OCC next month. Jazzfest will be held on June 9th and 10th this year, drawing thousands to the campus event.
