Stabbing Suspect Arrested After Attack In Downtown Syracuse

A stabbing in broad daylight in downtown Syracuse Wednesday afternoon and city police have made a quick arrest. Police say it occurred on South Salina Street where they found one man with a stab wound to his chest an another woman who had been assaulted and fell to the ground.

The stabbing suspect himself was still at the scene when police arrived. The suspect is identified as 46 year old Nguvu Warren of Syracuse. He's been charged with Assault and Criminal Possession of a weapons. Both victims are expected to survive their injuries. City Police say more charges in the case are possible.
