B'Ville Schools facing Whooping Cough Outbreak

Baldwinsville, N.Y. - Whooping Cough is spreading its way through out the Baldwinsville School District:

District Officials say they are battling a strain of pertussis in their schools despite nearly all the students in the district being vaccinated against whooping cough.

The virus often starts like a common cold but can quickly cause a hacking or dry cough that can last weeks or even months.

The district says that their custodial staff members have taken extra measures to disinfect classrooms and common areas in the schools.
