Utica, N.Y. - Deliberations continue today in the trial of a scorned woman accused of poisoning and killing her lover's mother in a revenge plot straight from Shakespeare:
In closing arguments, yesterday, prosecutors made the case that Kaitlyn Conley, who was angry about being rejected by the victim's son and her on-again, off-again boyfriend, killed his mother to get him to take her back and even went as far as to try and frame her death on him.
Mary Yoder died after being given a deadly dose of a medicine used to treat gout.
Conley's defense team called prosecution's evidence flimsy and circumstantial and also tried to argue that the evidence presented in court could implicate Mary Yoder's husband in her death.
