Five people have bee arrested in connection to a drug related shooting last week in Lysander.
23-year-old Timothy Grant was found by Onondaga County Sheriff’s Deputies with a gunshot wound to his leg in his apartment building in Lysander.
Investigators quickly learned that the motive for the shooting was drug-related and the victim knew one of the suspects involved. On the night of the shooting three handguns and approximately 15 pounds of marijuana were recovered from the wooded area behind the victim’s house.
The Syracuse Gang Violence Task Force stepped in and was able to arrest four of the five suspects; 23-year-old Johnny Greacen, 23; Michael Pecoriello, 21; 19-year-old Richard Evans, 19; and Tyron West, 22.
A fifth suspect, 22-year-old Ryan Dwyer, was arrested by police in Geddes where they found marijuana and a gun in his car.
All five were charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree assault and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
The victim will survive his injuries.
